How Bobtaskers works
Bobtaskers is a mobile-first platform for structured online tasks such as surveys, AI training, data entry and writing.
1. Basic qualifications
- You must be at least 18 years old or the applicable legal age of majority.
- Use one account only and keep your credentials private.
- Provide accurate identity, qualification, experience and location information.
- Do not use VPNs or proxies to disguise your location or identity.
- Where legally required, maintain the certificates, licences, registrations or self-employment arrangements needed to provide the Services.
2. Choosing tasks
Explore tasks by category and read the full task instructions before starting. Check the reward, estimated time, eligibility, Premium status, required files or inputs, and acceptance criteria. Some tasks may be available only to Premium accounts or may be restricted by a reward threshold.
3. Surveys
Answer each question carefully and honestly. Where a survey contains multiple questions or pages, complete the current step and use the provided Proceed control to continue. Do not rush through questions or provide random answers simply to reach submission.
4. AI training and image tasks
For image labelling, classification or description tasks, follow the exact label definitions and examples provided by the task. When the workflow accepts an image or photo, confirm that the preview shows the intended file before submitting. Do not include unnecessary personal or confidential information.
5. Data entry
Transcribe or structure information according to the task's required fields and formatting rules. Check names, numbers, dates and other values before submitting. Accuracy is more important than simply completing a task quickly.
6. Writing tasks
Follow the requested topic, tone, length, structure and originality requirements. Where a task requests a document upload, submit the required file format and make sure the file opens correctly before submission.
7. Automation and AI tools
Do not use bots, scripts, AI agents or other automated methods to perform a task unless the applicable task expressly permits them. A task's specific instructions control whether assistance or automation is allowed.
8. Quality and review
Every deliverable should meet the task's accuracy, quality and timeliness requirements. Submitted work may be reviewed. Repeated failure to meet standards may result in restrictions or loss of access to tasks.
9. Premium guide
Premium is an optional account upgrade. Premium accounts can access Premium-only tasks and tasks above the configured Premium reward threshold. Premium can also provide access to higher-paying opportunities. It does not guarantee a particular number of tasks, a particular reward or a fixed income.
Free accounts are subject to the platform's configured daily task-start limit. The current MVP uses a two-task daily free limit. The platform may change limits and thresholds as the service develops.
10. Explicit-content preference
Some tasks may contain sensitive, adult or other explicit material. You are not required to accept such tasks. Use the account preference to exclude explicit-content tasks if you do not want to perform them, and report illegal or unauthorized content through the available reporting mechanism.
11. From task to earnings
- Start: an eligible task becomes an ongoing work session for your account.
- Work: complete the required questions, labels, writing or uploads.
- Submit: review the work and submit it for review.
- Approve: approved work becomes an eligible earning.
- Withdraw: when your balance and account satisfy the applicable withdrawal rules, request payment using your registered M-Pesa number.
12. Independent contractor reminder
Bobtaskers users provide Services as independent contractors rather than Bobtaskers employees. Users are responsible for applicable tax, social-security, registration and other legal obligations in their jurisdiction.
